Who we are
Predicto ("we", "us") operates predicto.market, the marketing site for the Predicto white-label prediction market platform. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@predicto.market.
What we collect
- Walkthrough requests. When you submit the "Book a desk walkthrough" form we collect your name, work email, company, role and any note you add, together with your IP address, browser user agent and the time of submission.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4. If your browser's time zone places you in the UK, the EU/EEA or Switzerland (or can't be read), we ask first: before you choose, it runs in Consent Mode without cookies and sends Google limited, cookieless signals (such as that a page was viewed, with browser and approximate-location information). Everywhere else analytics cookies are on by default and you can switch them off at any time in cookie settings. When analytics cookies are allowed, Google Analytics sets cookies and records how you use the site: pages visited, clicks on key buttons, use of the demo widget, device and approximate location.
We do not run advertising, remarketing or ad-personalisation cookies.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Walkthrough requests: to reply to you, arrange the walkthrough and discuss a potential commercial relationship — our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). IP address and user agent are kept to fight spam and abuse, on the same basis.
- Analytics cookies: for visitors in the UK, the EU/EEA and Switzerland, your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and PECR); elsewhere, our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, with an opt-out at any time. Cookieless measurement before a choice is made relies on our legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit the site.
We do not sell your data and do not send you marketing without your separate consent.
Who processes it
- Amazon Web Services (Ireland, eu-west-1) hosts the site, stores walkthrough requests and sends us email notifications of them.
- Google (Google Analytics 4) processes analytics data. Google may transfer data to the United States under the UK-US data bridge and standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Walkthrough requests: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any business relationship that follows, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
- Your cookie choice (
cc_cookie): 6 months, then we ask again.
Cookies
- cc_cookie (necessary) — stores your cookie choice.
- _ga, _ga_* (analytics, after you accept, or by default outside the UK, the EU/EEA and Switzerland) — Google Analytics visitor and session identifiers, up to 2 years.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: . Rejecting deletes the analytics cookies.
The demo at demo.predicto.market uses Google Analytics in the
same way. There, your choice is kept in your browser's local storage (predicto.consent)
instead of a cookie, and "Cookie settings" in the demo's footer changes it.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, or object to our use of it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@predicto.market; we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
